| We started building our hotel in October of 1998. After having traveled quite a bit ourselves, we designed it with the idea of offering a quiet place to the weary traveler, providing a place to relax and contemplate for a while. We put great effort into creating comfortable rooms with cozy beds, clean bathrooms and hot water while keeping the budget traveler in mind. |
| In February of 2001 we opened our hotel. Izhcayluma means "two hills" and is derived from Quichua, the old Incan language that is still spoken by the indigenous minority today. Since our opening, we have helped many travelers and groups turn their stay in the South of Ecuador into a wonderful experience. |  |
